Research Interests of CJRC Members

Currently the research interests of the CJRC include assessment and treatment of offenders, decision-making in courts, alternative dispute resolution, juvenile justice, community corrections, prisons, alcohol and drug addictions, dangerous offenders, violent offenders, drug courts, mental health issues, child abuse, crime and gender, risk assessment, cognitive behavioural programs and criminal justice administration. This information is presented in more detail in the CJRC member profiles booklet.

In addition to the list of interests above, through the workshop held in May 2006, several research themes have become evident. These themes are summarised in the CJRC research themes document. In response to feedback following the workshop, the CJRC has also established a discussion forum with technology available at Google Groups.
